About Lake Erie College

Lake Erie College has fostered and enriched over 10,000 men and women in pursuit of a time-honored, well-rounded liberal arts education. The College offers 37 undergraduate majors as well as graduate programs leading to the M.B.A. and M.Ed. degrees. Led by President Michael T. Stormy

Lake Erie College has had a variety of mascots throughout the years including a dog statue, a lightning bolt costume and a unicorn. In the winter of 1994, the College held a contest for a new mascot for the 1994-95 academic year. The contest was advertised within the Alumni Magazine and called for submissions from the campus and surrounding community, as well as alumni. As a result of this contest, the current mascot of the College - Stormy was born.
