Application Process
  

First-Time Freshmen Students
Decisions are normally made within two days of receiving all application materials Official notifications are sent therafter within one week. Candidates are encouraged to complete a college preparatory program in high school which includes English, math, social studies, natural science, and foreign language courses

Application fee - free for those who apply on-line
Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Please note that exceptions to this rule are considered on an individual basis
ACT or SAT test scores
Official high school transcripts
Two letters of recommendation (at least one from a guidance counselor or teacher)
Suggested high school coursework should include
- 4 years of English
- 3 years of math
- 3 years of natural science (2 with lab component)
- 3 years of history and/or social studies
- 2 years of foreign language



Transfer Students
Transfer applications must include transcripts from all the institutions that you attended. If you have earned an Associate Degree from an accredited institution, high school transcripts are not required.

Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Calculated using all college coursework
Two letters of recommendation (at least one from a guidance counselor or teacher)
Copy of high school diploma, high school transcripts, or GED certificate (proof of graduation)
Official transcripts from ALL colleges and/or universities attended



International Students

Undergraduate TOEFL 550 (213 on computer-based test) or STEP Eiken 1st and Pre-1st Grade level (for Japanese students)
Graduate TOEFL 590 (225 on the computer test).
Certified documentation/”Affidavit of Support” of funds to support student for one year
- At least $20,000 (U.S.)
- For education, transportation, and maintenance
High School (secondary school) Transcripts/Documentation
Certificates of Completion
College or University Transcripts/Documentation if applicable
  • The above documents must be submitted with English translations
  • Application requirements must be satisfied before I-20 forms are issued


Graduate Students

Application fee - free for those who apply on-line
Official transcripts from undergraduate degree-granting college/university
Official transcripts from any masters level work you have previously completed
3 professional references (name ~ address ~ phone number)
  • MBA Applicants should also submit a current resume.
  • MSEd Applicants should submit a copy of teaching license or certificate.
