Fine Arts (with Dance concentration)

Lake Erie College is committed to the development of student dancers. It is our goal to develop dance artists who are technically proficient, grounded in the history and aesthetic theory of their craft and skilled in the creation and production of original art work. Class sizes are typically small, and as a result, attention can be given to the individual needs of the student. The College faculty whole-heartedly believes that creative process work is essential to the formation of a "complete" dance artist. Therefore, in addition to course work in composition, all students who elect a dance concentration are required to join faculty and guest choreographers in the development and production of creative work which is presented in informal and formal venues throughout the academic year.
