The construction of Lake Erie College's new Athletic and Wellness Center is complete.

The $9.5 million dollar facility opened to students on Monday, August 23, offering modern training areas, weight rooms, a suspended track, and a multi-purpose gymnasium that will accommodate a multitude of indoor events and practices. In addition to these amenities, the facility houses a main arena for intercollegiate basketball and volleyball, with seating for 750.

A short step outside the gym lands one on Hitchcock Field, the home of the Storm softball and soccer teams.

The baseball team plays its home games at Recreation Park in Painesville while the golfers compete at Fairway Pines Golf Course.
