MILT
JOHNSON enters his sixth season
as head coach for the Lake Erie
Storm men's golf team and becomes
the first coach of the Storm
women's team as it debuts with
the 2007-08 academic year.
Johnson
was born in Painesville, Ohio
and attended nearby Harvey High
School. Johnson then went on
to Mount Union College where
he earned his bachelor's degree
in business administration in
1978.
Johnson
was a two-sport athlete at Harvey
as he participated in both golf
and basketball. He was a four-year
letterman for Harvey and decided
to continue his golfing career
at Mount Union where he was
also a four-year letterman for
the Purple Raiders.
Since
that time, Johnson has picked
up coaching experience both
at the high school and college
levels. He coached the Lake
Catholic junior varsity golf
team for two years and the Lake
Erie Storm women's basketball
team for one season. Johnson
also coached CYO basketball
for 12 years. Johnson is also
currently the head professional
at Fairway Pines Golf Course
and has been a PGA Class A member
since 1981.
