the addition of football as a club sport for the
fall 2007 season.
With
the addition of these sports, a total of 13 varsity
teams will be representing Storm athletics. "One
of our priorities at Lake Erie College is to offer
a multitude of opportunities for students to stand
out in an area that they are passionate about, whether
it be athletics or academics," said President

build character and leadership. Offering these new
sports programs will offer more opportunities for
student engagement to help maximize the experience
at Lake Erie."
Women's
golf will join the already established men's team,
which began during the 1992-93 academic year. Milt
Johnson, the current men's golf coach, will also
lead the women's team and both will compete during
the fall with Fowler's Mill serving as their home
course.
The
men's and women's track and field teams, which will
be led by current cross country Coach Bryan Harmon,
will compete during the spring, utilizing Painesville's
Kiwanis Park as its training facility. The College
recently partnered with the City of Painesville
and the Painesville City School District to use
Jack Britt Memorial Stadium within Kiwanis Park
for its home football contests.
