Starting the program from scratch in 2007, Bryan Harmon is now in his third season overall directing the Lake Erie men’s and women’s track and field teams. Last year the teams competed as a full-fledged varsity sport for the first time after a year on the club level.In addition, Harmon has directed the Storm cross country teams for the last five seasons.
The Mentor native has a strong running history, having tallied seven collegiate letters in track and cross country, as well as earning Most Improved Runner honors for the TiffinUniversity cross country program in 2002. He was also a part of back-to-back conference track championships his junior and senior years.
Since graduating from Tiffin with a degree in sports management, he continues to compete in the sport regularly, most recently running in this year's Boston Marathon for the second time. In his debut, he finished 260th overall and was in the top three among Ohio runners with a time of two hours, 45 minutes and 30 seconds.
Renee Paprocki Graduate Assistant Coach (Jumps)
1st Season
Renee Paprocki is in her first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Lake Erie track and field teams, working mainly with jumps.Most recently she was an assistant coach at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Ariz. This past spring, the girls team won the regional championship for the second straight season while the boys team had the conference, region and state champion in the high jump.
The Phoenix native competed in cross country, track and field and swimming at NazarethCollege in Rochester, N.Y.She earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from ArizonaStateUniversity in 2008.
Paprockis is a USATF certified Levels 1 and 2 coach in jumps and was a recreational swim team coach with the city of Phoenix for four years.She is a certified Spanish bilingual assistant and medical interpreter.
She currently resides in Painesville and is working towards a master’s degree in education at Lake Erie.
Markham Hyde Graduate Assistant Coach (Throws)
1st Season
Markham Hyde is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the Lake Erie track and field program.He will work primarily with the throwers.A three-year letter winner at NCAA Division I Utah Valley University, Hyde earned his bachelor’s degree in history education from the school in 2006.
While at Utah Valley Hyde was a team-captain and received the school’s most inspirational athlete award in 2005 and the student service award in 2006. Since 2005, he has served as a public address announcer for UtahValley, BringhamYoungUniversity, the NBADL and American Indoor Football Association among others.
A native of Farmington, Utah, Hyde and his wife, Brittany, reside in Painesville.
Eric Kramer Graduate Assistant Coach (Sprints/Hurdles)

Eric Kramer is in his first season as a graduate assistant track and field coach at Lake ErieCollege, working with the sprinters and hurdlers.Prior to joining the Storm staff, he was an assistant coach for two seasons at FranklinCollege and for one year at AdrianCollege.At Franklin he was part of three conference championship teams.
As a student-athlete, Kramer was a three-time NCAA national qualifier at Saint Joseph’s College, qualifying once in 110-meter hurdles and twice in the 55-meter hurdles.The also was a three-time all-conference selection and was the conference champion in the 55-meter hurdles.He also served as a team captain.
The Holland, Ind. native earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Saint Joseph’s and is currently pursuing his master’s degree at Lake Erie.
