- Clarify career choices by trying a career option.
- Meet professionals who can help with career planning and progress.
- Develop confidence by tackling professional assignments.

Employers:

- Have an opportunity to evaluate interns as future full-time employees.
- Develop connection with Lake Erie College for recruiting interns and employees.
Sources of Internships:
Internships can come from a number of different sources. Students may have contacts in companies with which they would like to intern; also, they may develop an internship with their current employer if the internship involves new responsibilities. Faculty Sponsors may have contacts within their fields of study. The Internship Director keeps a database of prospective companies and current opportunities. Most current opportunities are posted on the bulletin board in the student center and on this site. The Language Faculty has contacts in foreign countries. |
