Student Employment
On campus student employment is available for current students. Positions are an excellent way to develop new skills, become involved on campus, and earn extra money to help with educational or personal costs. In order to simulate a real world application experience, students apply directly to departments with their resumes. Each department’s site supervisor is responsible for screening, interviewing, and hiring their student employees. Typically, initial hiring occurs in the beginning of fall semester for the entire year. Students who only wish to work spring semester are encouraged to submit their resume with that intent during this time, as many supervisors who need to hire in the spring will start with the students who expressed interest in the fall. All job descriptions are available on Storm Central.
Federal Work Study Students – Students who qualify for
Federal Work Study must go through the same hiring process. It is important to
remember that the amount awarded for work study on your financial aid package
indicates the amount you are eligible to earn should you receive an offer for
employment. If you have questions regarding your federal work study
qualification, please contact Financial Aid.
