New Faces

Hope Swank joins Lake Erie College as the administrative assistant for the department. Her career has included working as an office manager, program coordinator, bookkeeper and administrative assistant in the corporate world. Hope has attended The Ohio State University and Lakeland Community College.Hope and her husband, Tom, live in Geneva. They are the parents of two children, Ryan, a senior at Muskingum College, and Katy, a sophomore at Columbus State Community College. Hope enjoys spending time with her husband. She also enjoys spending time with the miniature horses they raise together.

 

Catherine Krammer is a visiting professor and coordinator of special education. She has over ten years experience in education as a sign language interpreter for the deaf, intervention specialist and director of special education at the college level. She and her husband moved here from Kansas three years ago and keep busy with gardening, hiking and taking care of their three cats and two dogs. In her "free time" she also enjoys spending time at Holden Arboretum, Lake Metro-parks and reading a good book in front of their wood stove. She is excited to be at Lake Erie College and looks forward to meeting each of you!

 

Peter  Lee has joined our department this year, working to develop new programs and special projects to help expand the department’s licensure credentials with the State of Ohio as well as filling our need as  science specialist for the AYA program.  Mr. Lee comes to us with a wealth of classroom and administrative experience. Over the past 30 years his career has taken him from Alaska to the shores of Lake Erie. He and his wife Dodie live on the shores of Lake Erie in Madison.  He has three children, Brian, Keith and Jeanne. 

  


Rebecca Schmid is the student worker in the Education Department and is having a great time working with everyone in the office.Rebecca is a sophomore biology major with a minor in equine science. She is working toward getting into a veterinary school after graduation. Rebecca is originally from Wisconsin and has been enjoying all of the new experiences that go along with attending an out-of-state college. She is involved in many activities on campus such as the Pre-Veterinary Club, Students Making A Difference, IDA, and is an ambassador. She also has a horse, Lucky, that she able to bring to school with her.
