Show Equipment Sign Out Policies

(See Appendix for equipment sign out form)

  1. The student who signs out equipment MUST be a current student at Lake Erie College and currently enrolled in a riding class.

  2. The student who signs out equipment MUST use it on an LEC owned horse only. Equipment is NOT to be used on private horses.

  3. The student who signs out equipment must use it for a horse show or special event, not for personal use.

  4. The student must fill out the "Sign Out" form and return it to the herd manager with current instructor’s signature BEFORE equipment is released to the student. When the student signs the "Sign Out" form, the student is agreeing to all terms as stated in the "Show Equipment Sign Out Policies". Herd manager signs form as witness to physically handing the equipment to the student.

  5. The student is NOT to receive equipment on loan any earlier than 2 days before the event.

  6. A student is not permitted to change the horse’s school bridle in any way. No bits are to be removed to be attached to the student’s own bridle. The student must purchase a bit to be used on his/her own bridle. This must be the same bit as attached to the horse’s LEC bridle.

  7. Equipment is to be returned in CLEAN condition, unbroken, by 10:00 a.m. the Monday following the competition. Fines will be charged for the return of dirty or broken equipment, and in the case of late return. If student fails to return equipment within 4 days of due date, student will be billed for the entire purchase price of the equipment.

  8. Equipment is considered returned when student borrower personally hands equipment to barn manager or representative who will sign form stating equipment was returned with date of return. Student borrower is also required to sign this form.

  9. There is no renewal of equipment.
