The Essay – Students should prepare a 1500-word essay on ONE of the following topics:

Essay Questions

Option 1: Write an essay about a book (or author) that had a profound effect on you—one that changed the way you see the world, the way you think about yourself, what you know (or what you thought you knew before you read it).
Option 2: Write an essay about the way(s) in which you expect your adult life to be significantly different from that of your parents.
Option 3: Write an essay about a significant moral/ethical challenge you have faced. What did you learn about yourself in facing this challenge?

The essay should be proper APA formatted essay with a cover page. Each page should have one inch margins and be double spaced and should be submitted via e-mail to admissions@lec.edu before midnight on February 1, 2013 for full consideration. Students will be notified by e-mail when their essay has been received.
