Science, Health & Environment

As a student ready to explore the wonder of science, you'll begin your education to pursue a career as a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, veterinarian, biologist, chemist, environmental scientist, physical therapist or a mathematician.

You'll explore internship and experiential opportunities with world-renowned health systems and research institutions in nearby Cleveland; and, as a biology and chemistry major, you will engage in a senior capstone research project that provides an in-depth study in your field guided by a faculty advisor.

• You'll learn in the newly reconstructed Austin Science Center, home to state- of-the-art laboratories and cutting-edge curriculum led by nationally recognized faculty and experts-in-the-field.
  
  
• As an equine major ready to explore the multi-billion dollar equine industry you'll learn on-site at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center from experienced faculty, including a full-time veterinarian, accomplished equestrians and residential barn staff who take pride and care for the Lake Erie College herd and student-owned horses. You'll be prepared to manage a large training facility or farm, deliver therapy through horsemanship or start your own niche equestrian specialty business.

With a degree and educational experiences from the Science, Health and Environment Learning Community, you'll have the opportunity be a member of student organizations, cross-discipline learning and to join the ranks of many accomplished alumni.
