Our government collects huge amounts of information and makes it available to us for free on the Internet. Let's put our tax dollars to work!

USA.Gov

This portal to US government Web sites offers users access to all government sites from a single central point.

Statistical Abstract of the United States

Contains 30 sections of statistical data, including population, vital statistics, education, elections, energy, transportation, health and nutrition, and much more.

US Census Bureau

The best source for statistics about just about anything in the United States. Also see the US Census Bureau's Population publications containing specialized studies on household, family, population, etc.

State and County Quick Facts

Quick, easy access to facts about people, business, and geography for each state in the US Also includes Census 2000 data.

World Factbook

From the CIA. This site gives general information about every country in the world. It also includes information about colonies and unpopulated regions.
