Mission

Band Philosophy
The Lake Erie College marching band is dedicated to commitment, self-discipline, unselfishness and the dignity to each member. The marching band provides the opportunity for all members to enjoy themselves while developing their musical and performance skills. The students and staff work together in a positive and nurturing way to achieve their best as a team and perform at the highest level possible.
Band Values
Respect: Respect yourself as a person and as a member of the Lake Erie College marching band. Treat peers, staff, and administration, whether a member of the LEC marching band or any other organization, as you would like to be treated.
Commitment: The LEC marching band requires, needs and relies on your full commitment if we are to succeed. To make a successful organization, you must put the band above and before all other outside activities.
Attendance: Part of your commitment is attendance. All band meetings, rehearsals, parades, performances and other gatherings of the band require your attendance.
Professionalism: At all times, professionalism is a necessity of the band. Whether in or out of uniform, you will always represent the school/band and will be looked upon by outsiders as such. Act professionally at all times.
