Lake Erie College professor nominated as “Best College Advisor”

(Painesville, OH.) – Lake Erie College Assistant Professor of Psychology Susan Culotta has been selected as one of five of Northeast Ohio’s "Best College Advisor” finalists for the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education (NOCHE) and Cleveland Business Connects Magazine Expy Award. The Expy Award celebrates all forms of hands-on learning in Northeast Ohio, including internships and co-ops. 

"I am very excited that internships at Lake Erie College are recognized as outstanding educational experiences. I am especially pleased that I have had the opportunity to be the faculty advisor for such exemplary students. They have used the internship experience as a means to enhance their educational curriculum and explore professional and career goals and opportunities,” said Culotta.

Tom Lix, Visiting Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, was also nominated in the best small company internship category. Lix is the owner of Cleveland Whiskey Co. Cleveland Whiskey is the internship site for Lake Erie College senior Cameron Castro and supported by the College’s Center for Entrepreneurship.

Nominations were also accepted for best intern, best mentor, best new internship, best large company internship, best college advisor and coolest internship. The awards program will be held March 28 at 11:30 a.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Cleveland.
