For the first time at Lake Erie College, a live surgical procedure will be telecast into an LEC classroom. Come and watch as Dr. Amitabh Goal, Chief Medical Officer, University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center and Chairman, Department of Surgery, performs a laparoschopic umbilical hernia repair.
Dr. Goel, who is board certified in both general surgery and critical care surgery, will perform and narrate the surgery. Students will be given the opportunity to ask Dr. Goal questions during the procedure.
This is a unique opportunity for students to see a live surgery. This will be the first in a series of medical lectures given at Lake Erie College. Future surgeries will include bowel resections, appendectomies and many more. Also, special topics such as "Real Stores from the Emergency Room" will be presented and give a behind-the- scenes view of emergency medicine.
If you have questions please contact Weber (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Dr. Tedesco (email@example.com).
