Dean Robert Trebar Invited to Speak at Education Conference in ChicagoLake Erie College's Dean of the School of Business Robert Trebar has been invited to speak at the 2013 Mid-Western Educational Research Association annual conference in Chicago, Ill., November 6-9. The theme of the conference is "Education, Access, Marginalization and Empowerment."
Dean Trebar will be speaking on the role of entrepreneurship in the development of college students. He will join other prominent speakers such as keynote speaker Aaron Thompson, Ph.D., senior vice president of academic affairs at the Council on Postsecondary Education.
"Experiencing the process and principles of entrepreneurship can empower today's students to be self-directed and take responsibility for their futures in an increasingly dynamic economy characterized by change and uncertainty," said Trebar.
The Mid-Western Educational Research Association is a forum for the discussion and dissemination of educational research conducted in the central states and provinces of North America. The conference will feature invited speakers, focused workshops, peer-reviewed papers, research-in-progress papers and networking opportunities.
