November 19, 2013(Painesville, Ohio) - Lake Erie College Department of Theatre to present "A Christmas Carol" on Tuesday, November 19 at 7:30 p.m at the Royce Hall for the Fine and Performing Arts. The performance will be a one-man show by community actor L. Michael Breeze.
Breeze portrays Charles Dickens reading "A Christmas Carol" on this 170th anniversary of the book's first publishing in December 1943. Dickens performed his readings from the mid 1850's until 1870.
Breeze has performed "A Christmas Carol" annually since 2000 and has directed his full cast adaptation playing the character of Scrooge since 1993. Now, he plays all parts -more than 25 in all- in this reading using Dickens' own performance notes for cutting and adding sections to the classic story. Breeze has performed "A Christmas Carol" all over Northeast Ohio, Connecticut, New York and Kentucky.
