LinkedIn Clinic Introduces Networking to StudentsThe Center for Entrepreneurship at Lake Erie College hosted a LinkedIn Clinic on November 21 to introduce students to the value of business networking.
The clinic was guided by Dale Stefancic, founder of Entrepreneurs On Call, who offered ideas on how to make student profiles complete and compelling. Some students refined their existing accounts while others created a profile.
Students who participated included: Jevon Cook, Andrea Harris, John Melendez, Taylor Mezacapa, Holly Poore and Jeremy Wei. Lisa Strausbaugh, director of the Center for Leadership and Professional Development, also joined us for a photo head shot for her existing LinkedIn account.
Today, LinkedIn is used to develop professional connections based on trust. Additionally, recruiters actively seek qualified job candidates based on member profiles. In 2012, there were more than 175 million registered users on the site.
