Lake Erie Welcomes Apollo's Fire in Free Community Concert

The energetic and vibrant music of the great composers Handel and Vivaldi comes alive as Lake Erie College welcomes Apollo’s Fire Cleveland’s baroque orchestra in a special free concert for the Lake County community on Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Morley Music Building.

The concert, "Fireworks,” features highlights from Apollo’s Fire 2011 international tour. Dueling pairs of instrumental soloists will face off in Vivaldi concertos and baritone Jeffrey Strauss will sing opera arias written for Handel's superstars of the stage.

"We are thrilled to bring Lake County residents a concert of this caliber. Apollo’s Fire is internationally recognized, and their music enriches audiences of all ages. We welcome citizens of the community and their families to the campus to share in this musical treat,” said Michael T. Victor, president of Lake Erie College.
