Lake Erie College Collaborates with Cleveland Institute of Music
(Painesville, Ohio) – Lake Erie College will be participating in its first collaboration with the Cleveland Institute of Music by hosting a joint recital performed by six talented young musicians from the Institute’s Preparatory Piano Program.
The students of Austrian pianist, Lucia Markovich, will be performing a variety of works. Pianists Yue Qi, Cecilia Chen, Shelby Wanen, Oliver Chen, He Jiaweiand Caroline Stone will perform pieces such as Mendelssohn Piano Concerto in G minor, the Beethoven Sonata op.49, no.2, the Haydn Sonata in D xvi: 35, the Valse Oubliee by Liszt, Schubert’s Scherzo op. posthumous and Chopin’s Etude in F minor, op.25. Other works by composers Reinhold, Bach, Handel, Mozart and Bartók will be included in the program.
