Lake Erie College to host clinic featuring Grand Prix Rider and Trainer

Lake Erie College will be hosting a new hunter/jumper clinician with Grand Prix rider and trainer Ian Silitch Dec. 1-2 at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center located in Concord Township, approximately six miles from the main campus.
 
Silitch, visiting from Ocala, Fla., has won more than 30 Grand Prix’s including the HITS Ocala King’s Shavings Grand Prix, the HITS Ocala Volvo Grand Prix, Vermont’s Manchester and the Mountains Grand Prix and the HITS Culpeper Rio Vista Grand Prix.
 
The focus of the December clinic will be on learning to read a horse, communicating effectively and putting those tools together to achieve the best possible performance. Three different groups will ride each day – Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9:00 a.m.-4:45 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 2 from 8:00 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
