Women's soccer earns NSCAA/Adidas Team Academic Award
The Lake Erie College women's soccer team was recently announced as a recipient of the 2006-07 NSCAA/Adidas Team Academic Award after earning a team grade point average of 3.38 for the 2006-07 academic year.
Of the 24,000 members of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), a total of 414 teams, including 114 men and 300 women, posted a G.P.A. of a 3.0 or higher to earn the association's highest academic honor. Lake Erie, under the direction of head coach Lauren Ferullo, was the only member of the 10-team Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) to earn the award. It is the team's fifth time receiving the accolade - each time under Ferullo (2000-01, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07).
