Free dance classes offered at Lake Erie College
The Lake Erie College dance department will be offering a series of free ballroom and Latin dance lessons with guest artist Heike Heinrich.
The first session, which will be held March 14 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and March 15 from 2:00-4:30 p.m., will focus on the waltz and meringue.
The community is invited to learn the rumba and cha cha March 28 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and March 29 from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
The third session, which will focus on swing and the foxtrot, is scheduled for April 4 from 6:00p.m.-8:00 p.m. and April 5, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Heike Heinrich is a former professional ballroom dancer, with a graduate degree in exercise physiology from Cleveland State University (CSU). Presently, she is an administrator with the CSU College of Education, where she also continues to teach ballroom dance and to perform with the CSU Dance Company.
Participants may choose to attend single classes or to register for any number of the classes. In either case, space is limited and registration is required.
