Lake Erie College Athletic Booster Club kicks off – Langer and Raimondo to serve as founding committee chairmen

As the Lake Erie College Storm athletics department grows, in number of athletes and teams, a new athletic booster club will be there to support them. The new club will be chaired by supporters John Langer and Jim Raimondo, and will kick off activities with a king crab clam bake on the evening of Sept. 24.

As chairmen of the club, Langer and Raimondo plan to bring together Storm fans in a way that can be advantageous to the teams. “The alumni, parent and community support to Storm athletics has been overwhelming, especially the past few years,” said Langer. “Jim and I believe that its time to formally bring everyone together to build financial support for the teams.”

The kickoff event for the booster club is a clam bake to be held on Sep. 24 at 6 p.m. at the Victor Manor House, home of Lake Erie College President Michael T. Victor. The price for the event is $65 per person and interested parties can call 440.375.7250 to R.S.V.P.

Langer serves as president of H. Jack’s Plumbing & Heating Company, with offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York, and is currently a member of the Lake Erie College board of directors. Raimondo is currently vice president of Ancora Advisors, an investment advisory group with offices in Cleveland.

The Victor Manor House is located at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center on Morley Road in Concord Twp. President Michael T. Victor and his wife, Craige, have revived many of the traditions of the presidential mansion, which was completely restored in 2007 and decorated by Amy Lund of Haven Décor.
