2009-2010 Cheerleading camp/tryouts announced

Lake Erie College is pleased to announce the camp/tryout schedule for current and incoming students. Students are required to attend both clinic dates in preparation for the scheduled tryout date.
 
We are looking for cheerleaders who show a mastery of basic cheer skill (jumps, motions and dance) and demonstrate ABILITY or POTENTIAL to excel in stunting and tumbling.
 
 
Clinic dates
April 21, 4 – 5:30 p.m.,
April 23, 4 – 5:30 p.m.
 
Tryouts:
Sunday, April 26, 1:00 p.m.
 
 
In the event of a conflict with the date, you may make arrangements to tryout out in one of the two listed alternative ways:
  1. video tryout due Friday, April 24, 2009 
  2. pre-arranged individual tryout (up to two weeks prior to tryout date)

The squad is selected by the coach and graduating senior cheerleaders. The tryout process is relaxed and low-key. We want to facilitate each person’s best performance.
 
You will need your medical policy holder’s name and the policy number for the required tryout forms. A physical is required at a later date.
 
The current requirements are:
Cheer
Dance (6, 8 counts)
Jumps (toe touch and pike)
Tumbling – your choice
 
We recommend that you put together your most difficult skills that you can cleanly execute.

2:00 p.m.          Evaluation begins
4:00 – 5:00 p.m. RESULTS POSTED
