Lake Erie College to Host Equestrian Winter Series USEF Hunter/Jumper Show

(Painesville, OH) - Lake Erie College will host the Equestrian Winter Series United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) Hunter/Jumper show on March 3-4. The show will take place at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center, located at 8031 Morley Road in Concord Twp. The public is invited to view the event and admission is free.

Hunter events are judged on the horse: the movement, attitude, willingness to work, and style of jumping. There is Hunter over fences (with jumps) and hunter under saddle (without jumps). Riders also compete in Equitation classes based on the rider with additional challenges to test their skills. Jumpers are judges on faults and time to complete the course. The competitor who finishes the course with the least amount of faults within the time allotted wins. Horses and riders with no faults in their first round return for a shortened jump-off round. The winner is determined by the fastest clear round in the jump off.
