Lake Erie College plans Homecoming/Alumni Weekend events
To welcome the return of a valued alumni base as well as recognize a growing student body and athletic department, Lake Erie will celebrate the second year of a combined Homecoming/Alumni Weekend October 2-4.
The weekend festivities open on Friday, October 2 with a clambake at 6 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center. The Distinguished Alumni Award will be awarded at 8 p.m. in Morley Music Hall followed by a presentation by MSNBC Anchor and co-host of “Morning Joe,” Mike Brzezinski at 8:10 p.m. Tickets are required for the featured speaker.
Many activities welcome alumni back to campus on Saturday, October 3. They include the national alumni board meeting at 10 a.m. in Social Parlor, a tailgate party at Jack Britt Memorial Field at 11 a.m., choice of campus tours or football and volleyball contests at 1:00 p.m., a music concert in Morley Music Building at 4: 30 p.m. and an evening cocktail reception at the Victor Manor House at 6:30 p.m., followed by class photos and a reception in the Rathskeller at 8 p.m.
Events conclude on Sunday with a brunch and riding presentation at the Equestrian Learning Center on Morley Road.
“We look forward to welcoming back our alumni to Lake Erie College. The relationship between the College and the alumni is important, and we always enjoy reconnecting with them each year during alumni weekend events,” said Andre Calabretta, executive director of development and alumni relations.
