The Center for Entrepreneurship and the foreign language departments to host an “International Luncheon”
The Lake Erie College Center for Entrepreneurship and the foreign language departments will collaboratively host an “International Luncheon” on Wednesday, Feb. 24 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Dickinson Dining Hall in the Arthur S. Holden Center. Regular lunch prices will apply.
Various foods from France, Germany, Mexico and Italy will be served to the College’s students, faculty, staff and community members. The event will highlight international business topics, feature authentic recipes from various countries and encourage students to become involved in entrepreneurial programs held on campus.
Students and faculty involved in the foreign language classes will provide information on their country of study and demonstrate accurate pronunciations of the items on the menu. Each foreign language club will have an informational table set up in the Holden Center atrium and a mariachi band will play from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition, the Center for Entrepreneurship will highlight international businesses, the College’s entrepreneurship major and minor, (including the equine entrepreneurship program,) classes and various community events. Cards and posters of facts about each country represented and information about multi-national corporations will be located throughout the dining hall.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to fill out a scavenger hunt questionnaire to be entered in a drawing to win gift certificates to local restaurants that feature excellent authentic cuisine.
