Lake Erie College and Grand River Partners promote clean-up
Lake Erie College is pleased to join with Grand River Partners, Inc. (GRPI) to help promote the 11th Annual Grand River Clean-Up on Saturday, May 15 at 8 a.m. at Hidden Valley Metropark in Madison. The College and GRPI have developed a long-standing relationship with each other over the years and are proud to come together for this event.
The clean-up event gives participants the opportunity to work with other concerned citizens, groups and organizations that care about the health of the Grand River and its wildlife. Volunteers spend a day out on the river and gain a sense of helping the river. They will be provided with a barbequed lunch and refreshments after the event.
Lake Erie College students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the clean-up. Private canoes are welcomed (and encouraged) but must be registered. Participants using sponsor canoes must be at least 14 years old. A parent or guardian must accompany participants under 18 years old.
To make reservations, please call the Western Reserve Land Conservancy at 440.729.9621 or email firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, May 10.
