Lake Erie College football team prepares for first home game on new turf

The Lake Erie College Storm football team will play their first home game on the newly installed turf on Saturday, September 11 at 1 p.m. at the Jack Britt Memorial Stadium, Painesville City Kiwanis Recreation Park. The Storm will compete against the Michigan Tech Huskies.

The festivities will begin with a tailgate party at 11 a.m. The party will include food, games, music and fun for the whole family. Kickoff for the game will follow.

Those attending can show their support for Storm Athletics by becoming a member of the Storm Booster Club. All membership money goes to support athletics or the team of one’s choice. Visit for more information.
