MARION G. RESCH FOUNDATION AWARDS $75,000 SCHOLARSHIP GRANT TO LAKE ERIE COLLEGE

(PAINESVILLE, OHIO) –Lake Erie College has received a grant of $75,000 from the Marion G. Resch Foundation of Youngstown, Ohio. The grant will provide scholarship assistance for students from Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties who are attending Lake Erie College.
 
“The Marion G. Resch Foundation continues to be a wonderful supporter of Lake Erie College and higher education,” Interim President Sue Dreitzler said. “Thanks to external funders like the Resch Foundation, students are able to afford a Lake Erie College education without accumulating a lot of debt.”
 
The Marion G. Resch Foundation, established in 1997, makes grants to support colleges and universities located within a hundred miles of Youngstown.
 
The late Marion G. Resch was an alumna of Lake Erie College in the class of 1933. Marion Resch was a generous supporter of the College throughout her lifetime, and the Resch Foundation has continued her legacy with its generous donations for scholarships for students from the Mahoning Valley.  
 
Founded in 1856, Lake Erie College is a dynamic and progressive institution of higher education, offering 22 undergraduate majors and master’s degrees in business administration and education. This coeducational college, grounded in the liberal arts, enrolls just over 1,000 students of all ages and is nationally recognized for its equine studies and international learning opportunities for students.
