Education Students to Host Awareness Event

With childhood obesity a major issue in the United States and a growing issue in Lake County, Lake Erie College students are gearing up to fight the cause. The first ever Red Raider Walk4Wellness will be held on campus April 30 from 10:00 a.m. to noon and will promote healthy bodies and healthy minds.

The Family and Community Relations (EDE 308) class at Lake Erie College is hosting the event and it will be open to children of the Painesville City school district. Starting in front of College Hall, there will be stations set up to promote healthy activities and healthy ways of eating. The Red Raider Walk4Wellness is free and will promote a healthier way of living and encourage children to get active now. For more information, contact Kelly Bynane at Kbynane@lec.edu.
