Michael T. Victor Named “Leader of the Year” by Leadership Lake County
Recognized for his outstanding accomplishments to advance Lake County and the dedication to promote the success of the business community, Michael T. Victor, 11th president of Lake Erie College, has been named Leader of the Year by Leadership Lake County.
“Each year, Leadership Lake County recognizes an individual who isn’t afraid to take the extra step in advancing the community to make it a better place. Michael Victor exemplifies leadership, dedication and commitment beyond the campus boundaries, recognizing the importance of collaboration between business, government and our citizens,” said Ellen Cantor, executive director, Leadership Lake County.
The Leader of the Year award was established by the Leadership Class of 1989. Victor received the honor during the organization’s 25th annual graduation ceremony Wednesday, June 8 at Pine Ridge Country Club.
“Each day is an opportunity to make a difference in the world around us; I am humbled to be among those nominated and honored to have received this award,” said Victor. Leadership Lake County began in 1986 to develop and engage present and future leaders to become committed to social, economic, and civic excellence in the community. Since its founding, over 800 professionals who live or work in Lake County have completed the ten-month, community-focused program.
