Trafford Tanzi to Take the Stage at Lake Erie College
(Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie College (LEC) Theatre Department will present Trafford Tanzi November 10-11 and 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. and November 19 at 2:30 p.m. in the C.K. Rickel Theatre in the Fine Arts Building located on the eastern side of campus.
Trafford Tanzi is a highly original, action packed play with music. Never before has such an entertaining and unique production been presented on the LEC stage, which will be transformed into a wrestling ring. The audience is invited to become spectators at ringside to cheer or jeer the contestants as Tanzi unsuccessfully wrestles with Mum, Dad, Platinum Sue and Dr. Grope.
From cradle to marriage, Tanzi struggles to find her true calling in life, until she is swept off her feet, literally, by professional wrestler Dean Rebel, who becomes her husband. Their marital bliss is short-lived when Tanzi discovers Rebel’s infidelity. See what happens at the main event of the evening when Tanzi and Dean square off for the ultimate battle of the sexes.
The book and lyrics of Trafford Tanzi are written by Claire Luckham and the music was developed by Chris Monks. The production will be staged under the direction of John Huston, associate professor of theatre.
Limited seating is available and tickets may be reserved online at firstname.lastname@example.org or
by calling the LEC Box Office at 440-375-7450. Admission is $10 for Adults and $8 for seniors/non-LEC students.
