Lake Erie College Athletic Booster Club holds clambake to raise funds for Storm athletic teams

The Lake Erie College Storm Booster Club is celebrating its first anniversary with a clambake on the evening of Sept. 3.

Co-chairmen of the event, John Langer, president of H. Jack’s Plumbing, and Jim Raimondo, vice president of Ancora Advisors, started the Storm Booster Club in 2008 as a way to raise funds and build awareness for Lake Erie College Storm athletic teams. “The alumni, parent and community support to Storm athletics has been overwhelming, especially the past few years,” said Langer. “We want to continue to foster that enthusiasm.”

The clambake anniversary event will be held on Sep. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Victor Manor House, home of Lake Erie College President Michael T. Victor. The price for the event is $65 per person and interested parties can call 440.375.7250 to R.S.V.P. or for more information.

The Victor Manor House is located at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center on Morley Road in Concord Twp. President Michael T. Victor and his wife, Craige, have revived many of the traditions of the 20,000 square foot presidential mansion, which was completely restored in 2007. The beautiful estate is a Lake County treasure and will be open for touring during the event
