YOUTH FOOTBALL DAY, HALFTIME TRICK-OR-TREAT ON TAP FOR FINAL LAKE ERIE COLLEGE FOOTBALL HOME GAME
All children 14-and-under wearing their youth team jersey or dressed up in costume will receive free admission to the game.
There will be plenty of treats for area youngsters when the Lake Erie College football team plays its final home game of the season at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium this Saturday, Oct. 31.
In the spirit of Halloween, Storm athletics is offering free admission to children 14-and-under who dress up in festive costumes. There will be a halftime trick-or-treat for kids around the field, presented by the Lake Erie Department of Athletics and Student Activities Council.
In addition, Saturday is also the second annual Storm Youth Football Day. Area children will be admitted to the game for free by wearing their youth team jersey.
“We really look forward to having kids from the surrounding communities come out and be part of our gameday experience,” said Storm head coach Mark McNellie. “The Youth Football Day program is an opportunity for children to spend quality time with a parent or role model and learn about sportsmanship and the fundamentals of college football in a fun, family-oriented atmosphere. Plus, the trick-or-treating and costumes are a fun way for kids to take part in Halloween at the game.”
Parents attending with a youth receiving free admission (either in costume or jersey) will receive a discounted ticket for just $4.
The Storm (6-3) will look for its fourth straight win on Saturday against Kentucky Wesleyan College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
