¡Hablamos Español!
The Lake Erie College Spanish Club exists to…
- Give students the opportunity to appreciate the Spanish language;
- Provide students with opportunities to engage with and learn more about Hispanic culture;
- Promote student involvement with the surrounding Hispanic community;
- Create an awareness on campus about current Hispanic topics and culture
- Draw excitement from fellow students to develop their Spanish speaking skills as we seek to learn more about the Hispanic way of life!
Activities from the past, present, and future:
- Ballet Hispanico at the Cleveland Playhouse Square
- La Gran Fiesta in Downtown Painesville
- Chips and Salsa Movie Nights
- Monthly Trips to Hispanic restaurants
- Cram Sessions to Study for Midterms/Finals
- Spanish Table and Cultural Movie Nights
- Valentine’s Day Carnation Fundraiser
- Salsa Dancing
- Viewing of The Man of La Mancha at Harvey High School
- Volunteering at English as a Second Language classes in the community
