Ali Gagne, Class of 2016, Sport Management
At Lake Erie College, we mean it when we say the opportunities are endless. Whether you're interested in engaging in lively debate with your professors, participating in one of our student-run organizations or joining the Storm as a student-athlete, you won't have to look far.
For senior Alexandra (Ali) Gagne, getting involved on campus came naturally. Originally from Cortland, Ohio, Ali felt at home from the second she stepped onto campus. "I loved the small campus feel," she said. "I instantly felt comfortable here."
Since her freshman year, Ali has been a member of the women's basketball, women's soccer, track and cross country teams, as well as being a participant in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the sport management club.
"I'm always telling people about how I've been able to jump in and try so many different sports at LEC," she said. "It's been a really fun and unique experience acclimating to new coaches and to athletics in general at the collegiate level."
Ali's passion for sports has followed her to the classroom as well, where she's majoring in sport management. Her goal for the future is to someday become a high school athletic director. With her senior year underway, Ali has some advice for prospective students of the College. "If you want a small campus feel with a lot of opportunities and with professors, coaches and people who genuinely care about you as a person, not just as a student or an athlete, then Lake Erie College is the place to be."
