Assistant Professor of Finance

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applicants for assistant professor of finance, reporting to the dean of the School of Business.

Using collaborative, instructional technology, and innovative methods this position will provide instruction on finance and economics at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition to teaching a variety of finance courses, including corporate finance, financial systems, investments and intermediate corporate finance, the successful candidate will also teach economics courses and general business courses when necessary. Additional responsibilities include: the development of syllabi and coursework; advising students; supervising student teachers and field service teachers; and establishing and fostering community and institutional relationships to form partnerships that will assist students with networking and job opportunities. This position also assists with the recruitment of prospective students.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching in a liberal arts college environment. To be considered for the assistant professor position, the candidate should hold a PhD in finance or economics. A master’s degree will be considered with exceptional work experience in the field of finance.
