Bachelor Degree in Communication at Lakeland

Lakeland Community College Students can now complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication through classes offered at Lakeland’s Holden University Center.  This Associate’s to Bachelor degree completion program allows students to earn Lake Erie College’s Bachelor of Arts in Communication Degree.

The LEC BA in Communication is a versatile degree grounded in the liberal arts tradition and designed for success in a variety of diverse environments. Students learn the role of communication in interpersonal, organizational, mass media and computer mediated contexts, as well as in persuasion and social influence. Communication majors develop skills in the following areas: thorough research and in-depth critical analysis, clear writing and effective speaking, systematic evidence evaluation and detailed data collection, as well as comprehensive information synthesis and analytical interpretation. The program prepares students for a variety of careers and professional interests in fields such as public address, business, consulting, education, government, industrial labor relations, interviewing and research.

 Applications are processed on a rolling basis. With an associate degree, all credits earned are accepted. A maximum of 90 semester hours or 136 quarter hours can be accepted from all accredited institutions. Students with military training and experience can earn valuable credit toward a college degree,
