Cindy Schwartz

Director of Institutional Research and Assessment
Cynthia (Cindy) Schwartz will become the director of institutional research and assessment with Lake Erie College beginning January 15, 2020. Cindy recently served as director of volume statistics and data analytics for The Center for Health Affairs in Cleveland, OH, and has been the director of institutional research with John Carroll University in University Heights, OH. Her assessment work has spanned her career in both the higher education and health care environments with a heavy emphasis toward building data-collaborative cultures to encourage organizational growth. She has served in faculty positions teaching undergraduate courses in information research and research design, and has extensive experience in accreditation, program evaluation, strategic planning, and compliance work. Cindy is currently working towards completing her Ph.D. in Evaluation and Measurement at Kent State University. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) and Bachelor of Arts with a major in English literature and philosophy, both from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds industry certification in market research from the University of Georgia.

Of joining LEC, Cindy says "I am excited to collaborate with the campus community to use my unique and diverse skills, including those in market research and analysis, to support institutional progress and success."
