Enrollment Services Coordinator Job

REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT FOR ENROLLMENT (VPE) STATUS: FULL-TIME, EXEMPT, SALARIED

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of Enrollment Services Coordinator. The Enrollment Services Coordinator will serve as the lead Slate administrator and will assist the VPE with strategic initiatives and special activities as assigned. Primary duties include the performing software maintenance, enhancements, and configurations necessary to ensure reliable business workflow within the Slate environment, working with College partners including but not limited to Deans, Public Relations & Marketing, Athletics, et al, to keep communication flows updated and refreshed. In addition, this position will work collaboratively with the VPE to gather enrollment data, and execute initiatives to support perspective student recruitment and current student retention.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and resolves Slate related issues for the College.

  • Designs the user experience for prospective students and staff.

  • Supports event management, applications, query and report development, communications, workflow maintenance, data uploads into Slate and integrations with campus systems.

  • Builds audits to assure data integrity.

  • Creates Slate user guides for staff.

  • Maintains knowledge of College purchasing guidelines and requirements.

  • Collaborates with Public Relations and Marketing to ensure maintenance of the information and functionality of forms and other documents on relevant webpages.

  • Develops and executes presentations and reports to internal and external groups in various settings on behalf of the VPE.

  • Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports and other materials of a highly confidential nature, including correspondence to the president and other College executives; composes and initiates routine correspondence and memoranda independently to address project activities.

  • Tracks priorities for the VPE to ensure time and attention are focused most effectively.

  • Attends meetings pertinent to the VPE priorities and work streams, acts as a surrogate when the VPE is unavailable, and communicates decision and action items to appropriate parties.

  • Assists with special projects, including research, event planning and management, and preparation of the VPE for speaking engagements.

  • Anticipates and responds to the needs of the VPE with project management and work delegation.

  • Manages the day-to-day operations of specific yearly communications initiatives, including the frequent and timely upkeep of the Office of Enrollment Management’s website, newsletter and annual reports, and provides guidance to department heads who report to the Office of Enrollment Management in their communication strategy and practices.

  • Plans, organizes and administers the activities of the Office of Admission in keeping with established College and department policies and procedures.

  • Supervises the receipt and processing of all applications for admission.

  • Assists in the development of Admission brochures, view-book, etc. for the College.

  • Plans workshop and seminars for the staff’s professional development.

  • Attends and participates in workshop, seminars or conferences of a professional nature.

  • Preforms other duties as assigned by the director of admission and/or the VPE.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; marketing, public relations, business, communications, education, counseling or related field desirable.

  • Strong public relations, customer service and public speaking skills, ability to work effectively with a diverse customer base.

  • Excellent writing, organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to approach recruiting assignments with creative and innovative ideas.

  • Strong computer and data processing skills, social media and marketing via the Internet.

  • Ability to manage and process data with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and to show initiative.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Able to handle frequent interruptions and demonstrate patience and understanding.

  • Ability to organize workflow and manage multiple projects.
