Giles Davis is in his third season with Lake Erie College after joining the Storm family in January 2018. Since his arrival he has taken the program to new heights. In 2019, the women's track & field team placed higher than it ever did before at the indoor and outdoor conference championships. He also had a Storm student-athlete qualify for the indoor national championships.
Davis came to Lake Erie after spending 20 years as an assistant coach at the University of Indianapolis. While at UIndy, he helped coach a combined 139 NCAA qualifiers including 71 All-Americans. He tooke over the LEC program with vast experience within the Great Lakes Region having helped Greyhound athletes to 72 All-GLVC honors to go along with 29 individual conference champions, and six relay titles. As a teacher and coach at the high school level, he also led seven athletes to individual Indiana state championships.
In addition, Davis is also three-time U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2009, 2012, and 2013.
While at Eastern Michigan University, he was a six-time All-Mid-American Conference performer while also earning honors as a Dean's Scholar. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and management from University of Phoenix in 2012.
