About

Holly Jodon serves as Clinical Adjunct Faculty in the Physician Assistant Program. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant from Gannon University and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies, specializing in Endocrinology, from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Holly has practiced clinically in internal/pulmonary medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery and most recently in adult and pediatric endocrinology for 20 years. Holly has been a physician assistant educator since 2000. She served as a faculty member in the Gannon University PA Program from 2000-2013. In 2014, she was the founding Associate Director/Academic Director of the Mercyhurst University Department of Physician Assistant Studies. From 2016-2019 she served as the Department Chair and Program Director when the Department was awarded ARC-PA Accreditation-Continued status for ten years. Holly is active within the profession at both the national and state level. She is a site visitor for the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) and is a distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA). Holly is Past-President and a current Board Member of the American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants (ASEPA). She is active in the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA) as the lead Smart Talk Coordinator/Presenter and as a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee and the Reimbursement Committee. Holly serves on the St. Vincent Hospital Patient Safety Committee, within the Allegheny Health Network in Erie, PA. She has published peer-reviewed articles on Endocrine-related topics and simulation for Interprofessional Education, been a presenter at National and State CME Conferences and served as a peer-reviewer for textbooks and PA publications. She has served as a consultant on National Pharmaceutical Advisory Boards and Speakers Bureaus for Endocrine-related therapeutics including Abbott Laboratories, AstraZeneca, Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly, Intarcia Therapeutics, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and VIVUS.
