What makes Lake Erie College a unique place?
Development of our accounting students goes beyond the classroom!
Internships
Internships are the strongest pathway to a successful accounting career
94% of our accounting majors have interned while completing their undergraduate studies (statistics based on the past three academic years)
Tax Clinic
Our students go out to the community and assist low income taxpayers with their annual tax filings
Over the past eleven years our students have assisted over 470 taxpayers in completing their federal, state and local income tax returns
Community Service
Financial Education Teaches Children Healthy Habits (FETCH!)
Our students participate in an interactive board game sponsored by the Ohio Society of CPAs that teaches elementary students important money skills and encourages financial responsibility
