Lake Erie College Shatters Enrollment Trend

Lake Erie College has much to celebrate this fall. LEC met its enrollment goal with the largest incoming class since 2012 with 282 newly enrolled students, a nearly 13% increase over the target enrollment goal.  The 5 year enrollment average of 250 students per class was toppled with a record breaking tally of more than 30 additional students. The college is successfully bucking the trend of declining enrollment at small, private liberal arts institutions, both regionally and nationally, as recently reported in a recent Crains Cleveland article. “… schools face a common demographic challenge of fewer high school students in the potential enrollment pool, which has been an issue for years.” Most of the liberal arts colleges in the region reported a decline in their fall enrollment. Congratulations LEC!  #LECPROUD
