Maintenance HVAC Technician Job

Lake Erie College, a small, co-educational, four-year, independent liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH, 30 miles east of Cleveland, invites applications for the full-time position of Maintenance HVAC Technician. The maintenance technician performs required maintenance, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pipefitting and any other maintenance tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducts boiler repair and maintenance.

• Maintains refrigeration, A/C units and ice machines.

• Assists with all HVACR maintenance and repair.

• Assists with floor, carpet, wall, window and ceiling repairs.

• Picks up trash on campus grounds.

• Cleans up fallen trees and other debris.

• Hangs pictures.

• Maintains all lighting, interior and exterior.

• Wires new circuits, as needed.

• Learns other skills and building systems.

• Performs other tasks as assigned by the director of physical plant. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with responsibilities described.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.
