Lake Erie College seniors Justin Daly and Matt Tringhese will represent the Storm in the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Coaches Association (OSCA) North-South All-Star Game on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Ohio Dominican University.
The game features talented seniors from around the state as selected by the OSCA. Thirty-five players will take part in this year's game, with defenders Daly (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) and Tringhese (Hubbard, Ohio/Hubbard) playing for the North team.
Daly earned NSCAA/Addidas Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second-Team, Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) First-Team, D3Kicks Mid-Atlantic Region Second-Team and AMCC Player of the Week this past season. He concluded his senior year with four goals, four assists and 12 points, as well becoming one of Lake Erie's all-time leading scorers as a defender.
Tringhese, one of the Storm's team captains this past season, recorded five goals for a total of 10 points. He also earned D3Kicks Team of the Week honors. Both he and Daly were also Academic All-AMCC honorees and were selected to the Chi Alpha Sigma Student-Athlete Honor Society.
Both players were instrumental in the Storm's success this season as the team finished 10-8-1 overall and in third place in the AMCC with a league record of 5-3-1. The team's 10 victories tied the school record for wins, which was previously reached in 2005.
